Dear Parishioners and Friends,
We are living through challenging times.
Times that require social distance. We are called to prayer and to draw closer to God to gather
our family, our loved ones closer and check in on our neighbors.
Times that require us to cease worship as a faith community. We are obligated to kneel and
pray for others and profess our confidence in God.
It is also time to hold onto our Lenten Journey through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. While we
witness fear, selfishness and hoarding, we are called to be models of peace, joy and generosity.
Amid all the challenges we experience in the coming days, don’t forget your donations to Our
Lady of Sorrows Basilica are still needed and deeply appreciated.
There are 3 ways to make your donation:
1. You can click on the GiveCentral link at the top of the Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica webpage
2. You can mail your donation to Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica at 3121 W. Jackson Blvd.
Chicago, IL. 60612
3. You can drop your donation off at the Rectory.
We continue to pray for God’s strength and protection during these challenging times.
